Beautiful Barman of the Month March

It´s been a long time in preparation but at last we are able to announce who is Benidorm Barman of the month for March. We are pleased that this prestigious title goes to Peter from Lovers.

With Peter´s award comes another first for Benidorm HotMale, this is our first Barman of The Month who is a local boy. Do not be misled by his English name, Peter is Benidorm born and bread.

We went into speak to Peter one weekday evening recently, to find out a little bit more about him and we were really taken with this charming young man.

Peter may be Spanish, but he speaks very good English and we were intrigued to find out where he picked up the language. “I learnt English at School” he told us “ and I did go on a language exchange to the UK to somewhere near Scarborough”. He is keen to visit the UK again but possibly Manchester or London this time. Peter also had an English baby sitter and English friends who he has had since childhood.

Peter has grown up in a gay environment, his uncle, the owner of Lovers, is gay and Peter´s family has always been open minded. “I think it is one of the most important thing about Benidorm, that everyone can be accepted for who they are” Peter was keen to point out.

On a night out Peter often heads to the New Town where his favorite bar is The Hippodrome and he enjoys drinking Dark Rum with lemon, just in case you want to buy him a drink.

Peter is a bit of a sportsman and up to the age of 17 he played for the Benidorm football team. He also enjoys tennis and swimming. Amongst his hobbies he lists watching movies and he loves action films especially Tarantino films. He is also keen on poker, and no unfortunately not strip poker.

He has worked at Lovers all of his working life starting there 4 years ago. If you are hoping to catch him there he works 6 nights a week  8.45pm to 4.30am. He sees working at Lovers as a long term commitment. “I love the atmosphere here, there is something for everyone, great music more than 20 video screens showing a variety of films from Benny Hill to those european art house movies and many interesting places to go (you know what we mean)” he said to us.
